Tuna Macaroni Casserole Recipe

   1 can (about 7 to 8 ounces) tuna, drained
   8 ounces elbow macaroni
   4 tablespoons butter
   3 tablespoons finely chopped onion
   2 tablespoons finely chopped green bell pepper
   2 tablespoons all purpose flour
   3/4 teaspoon salt or seasoned salt
   1/8 teaspoon pepper
   1 cup milk
   1/2 cup frozen peas, thawed
   1 can cream of mushroom soup
   1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
   buttered soft bread crumbs
Directions for Tuna Macaroni Casserole Recipe
- Turn oven on to 400 degrees
- Cook the macaroni according to package directions
- In a pan, saute the onions and bell pepper until tender
- Add in the flour, salt, and pepper
- Mix in the milk and mushroom soup
- Add in the macaroni, tuna, peas, and half the cheese
- Pour the tuna macaroni mixture into casserole dish
- Top with the rest of the cheese and bread crumbs
- Bake for 40 minutes

I added two cloves of garlic minced fine in with the onion. This tuna macaroni casserole recipe was delicious! Easy to make, creamy and had excellent flavor
