Macaroni Tomato Casserole Recipe

1 lb lean ground beef
5 -6 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 onion, chopped
1 green bell pepper, chopped
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 (14 ounce) can diced canned tomatoes, undrained
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
8 ounces uncooked elbow macaroni or 8 ounces bow tie pasta
8 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup parmesan cheese
Directions for Macaroni Tomato Casserole Recipe
- Turn oven on to 350 degrees
- Cook the pasta according to package directions
- In a pan, cook the ground beef until browned
- Add in garlic, oregano, onion, salt, pepper, basil, and green pepper
- Add in the tomatoes and tomato sauce and simmer for 10 minutes
- Mix the ground beef mixture with the macaroni
- Add mixture into casserole dish
- Top with mozzarella and parmesan cheese
- Bake for 25 minutes

Great comfort macaroni tomato casserole recipe! I used penne, and the canned toms with herbs same with sauce.Next time will add more garlic and mushrooms and fresh italian parsley.
