Chicken Macaroni Casserole Recipe

Ingredients
1/2 cup chopped onion
3 tablespoons butter or 3 tablespoons margarine, melted
2 (10 3/4 ounce) cans cream of chicken soup
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
1 cup milk
3 1/2 cups chopped cooked chicken
2 1/2 cups cooked macaroni
salt
pepper
1/4 cup Ritz cracker crumbs
Directions for Chicken Macaroni Casserole Recipe
- Turn oven on to 350 degrees
- In a pan, saute the onions untli tender
- Add in the soup and 11/2 cups cheese
- Mix in the milk and cook until cheese melts
- Sitr in the macaroni and chicken
- Transfer the chicken and macaroni mixture into a casserole dish
- Top with ritz crackers
- Bake the casserole for 30 minutes
Really yummy. For this chicken macaroni chicken casserole, I used campanelle instead of macaroni because we just prefer it. Love the ritz cracker bread crumbs.
